- Tell us about yourself: Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. I’ve taken a slightly different path in life. After leaving Lubbock High, I was able to find work in the booming sex trade. Contrary to what you may have seen in film, the Southeast Asian market really is one of the loveliest to work in; I made friends there that are incomparable. I now have 6 adorable children. I named them Dallas, Sydney, Jamaica, Austin, Afrika, and Bob. Everyone is named for the area I believe their fathers may have originated from, except for Bob, I’m completely clueless on him! Unfortunately, this did not leave much time for school, so I am just now finishing my BA in Electronic Media and Communications and looking for a job. I hope to work in film/tv or with the internet; video-on-demand is my primary interest.
Sorry about that, but I couldn’t help myself. When the realization hit that I could not get married, have children, graduate, or win a Nobel peace prize by the end of July, I didn’t know what to do. Actually everything before “Unfortunately” is complete crap. In truth, I’m finishing my degree this summer (finally); I’m an aunt to 2 beautiful nephews; and I live in Lubbock with my 2 dogs. One of them just had pups and those are my nicknames for them.
See you at the reunion!

The summer I completed my Masters I also married the love of my life Wes Hendrix and we moved to the Big D. I started working with severely mentally ill children and adolescents at a psychiatric hospital which was my focus in grad school but quickly learned how unethical the hospital was (won’t name any names….Timberlawn Mental Health). Thankfully a great job quickly came open at a dialysis center in South Dallas where I quickly flipped my focus to impoverished elderly phsically ill folks. I loved it and worked there until I left to get a hands-on degree in motherhood. Our beautiful little munchkin James is now 14 months old and INCREDIBLE! I’m in love. I stay home with him and wouldn’t have it any other way. Wes is about to become an Assistant US Attorney which will take us to a more affordable home in Richardson but will give us more time with big Papa. Thats about it! Is that really my life in 500 words or less? Hmmm. Well I can’t wait to see everyone!

- Tell us about yourself: Hello all, I now reside in your nation’s capital…lovely Washington DC! After a few years of travel, and trying 2 different schools, I finally got around to graduating in 2005. [Man, was that a nice long college run or what?] I graduated from Marymount University with a degree in communications; focused on public relations and marketing. After a year long stint in downtown DC corporate America, busting my ass to make some rich dude richer, a friend and I decided to create our own business. The organization is called Derby Service (www.DerbyService.com) and we offer personal assistants & concierge services in a time-share model. I handle the marketing and my business partner does the financials. The idea has taken off nicely and this June will be our first anniversary. So far, so good; we grow every month! Unfortunately, I will not be attending the reunion. As nice as it would be to see everyone, DC is quite a hike from Lubbock and I was just there for a funeral 2 weeks ago. Therefore I’m not in a huge hurry to get back Lubbock at the time of the reunion. I do still come home for Christmas, so maybe I’ll catch some of you then. Hope everyone is well.

- Tell us about yourself: I still reside in Lubbock because I like it, not because I’m stuck here. I got married on 9/9/99 in Vegas to a fabulous man from NY. I received a degree of some sort from Wayland Baptist. I work at Llano Logistics doing Payroll and Accounts Payable. And now my hubby and I have ventured down the path of trying to have a baby in vitro. I’m happy and life is good. I think that covers everything anybody would want to know about me.
- Are you bringing anyone with you? No, I’m not going. I would like to, but I’ll be in Florida that weekend. If I was bringing someone, I’d bring Oscar so we could giggle like little girls together.

- Tell us about yourself: Well first of all I should go ahead and let everyone know that I’m an idiot and clearly can’t read directions. It’s a wonder I ever graduated from college much less high school. I apparently hit “enter” way too soon and who knows how that will screw up the outcome of anything on here. Anyway I digress. Well let’s see… how can I sum up my life for the past ten years? I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 2001 with a degree in Church Ministry. Got married 6 years ago to the most amazing man EVER and we currently live in Frisco TX! I work for a company called Women of Faith and was influential in helping to launch their first Teen Girls Conference called the Revolve Tour. In the past two years our conferences have brought in over 100000 screaming teenage girls! It is quite awesome! I have had the amazing privilege of traveling all throughout the U.S. as well as China Thailand New Zealand Australia and Italy! I am VERY blessed. I plan to do much more traveling in my life. I love it! I am expecting my first child a GIRL due the end of July/beginning of August! I am SO very excited except for the fact that I will probably be enduring much pain in delivery right about the time you all are raising your classes and toasting to the wonderful fact that we have been out of high school for 10 years. I have really been looking forward to our reunion for quite sometime and was a little bitter that no one would change the dates just for me! HA! But the joy of my new baby girl in my arms will far surpass the experience of everyone bringing up how much skinnier I was in high school. You all have a grand ol’ time and hopefully I’ll catch the next one!

- Tell us about yourself: I graduated with a philosophy degree from UT-Austin in 2001. During that time I sat around thinking a lot. Once I got the degree I stopped thinking for good and picked up my saxophone again. I’ve been playing in a band called Jabarvy with five other LHS alumni for about six years now. (Psst: We’ll be playing in Lubbock the weekend of the reunion. After party anyone?) Until the album goes platinum I’ll be working my day job as a web developer for UT. I’m also going to start taking graduate classes in the fall so I guess I’ll have to start thinking again soon.

- Tell us about yourself: After graduating with a BA in psychology from Southern Methodist University I moved to Newport Beach CA and began attending school at University of California Irvine. I am 5 years into my Ph.D. and will hopefully finish in 2008. I plan to be a professor of Criminology when I’m done–sometime in the next century
I had planned on attending the reunion but will be on vacation for 2 weeks in China during the time it will be held. I say hello to all my friends and wish I could be there to catch up with everyone!

- Tell us about yourself: After graduating in ‘97 I did a short stint at OLLU in San Antonio but ended up finishing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Texas Tech in Communication Studies. While completing my M.A. I decided that academia was my career route and as a result I am now in my 4th year of my Ph.D in the Communication Arts and Sciences Department at Penn State University. I have to admit it’s been the most interesting and mind-expanding experience so far. I am currently working on the dissertation and teaching — which will probably be what keeps me from attending the reunion this year. I’m not married (but I am dating a very wonderful man from Abilene of all places!) and have no children…career comes first. Since moving to the NE I have travelled to some great places within the U.S. and outside: Vancouver Athens Rome and Crete… and I only hope that the list continues to grow. Here’s to where 10 years can take you!

- Tell us about yourself: I’m currently living in Central Pennsylvania working for a small liberal-arts college. I’m an administrator for international programs. After high school I attended Texas Tech. Since then I’ve done some different jobs and lived abroad for a while. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted from a career. I’ve been in my job for over a year now and plan to start graduate school in 2008 to advance in public affairs. I’m still good friends with some people from LHS but have lost touch with others. I’d like to re-connect. Feel free to email me at gwmoore4936@hotmail.com. Although I’ve bought a ticket for the reunion it’s doubtful I’ll make it due to work.

- Tell us about yourself: I graduated from Texas Tech in 2001 with a degree in psychology. After that I decided that I wanted to go back for my teacher certification and in Masters Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating with my Masters Degree in 2002 I was employed as a fourth grade teacher at Parsons Elementary in Lubbock. While at Parsons I decided that I wanted to work on my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Therefore for the past 3 years I have been working on my PhD and I will defend my dissertation this September and I will finally be done. I decided to leave Parsons in 2006 because I was given the wonderful opportunity to teach at Tech full-time while I completed my PhD. I am married to a great guy and we have a 5 year old daughter together and I am currently 8 months pregnant with a baby boy. I am happy to say that two kids are enough. I won’t be able to attend the reunion but you guys have a great time!
