IT’S FINALLY FINISHED!!!

Thank you to all who were able to make it to the reunion. I hope everyone had a great time. For those that weren’t able to make it for various reasons, I hope things work out better next time.

I’m sure everyone will appreciate not getting anymore emails w/my name on them. Think of me b/c I’ll be going through email withdrawal since I won’t have to check my email every few hours to keep on top of things. :-)

We had a great turnout at the mixer on Friday July 27 @ LHS. As much as LHS has changed, there’s more that did not. Many more joined us for drinks at The Library and many enjoyed reuniting w/old friends.

The turnout for the family picnic at Mackenzie State Park Saturday July 28 was good and the weather cooperated. We all enjoyed watching the kids play and talking.

The main event at the United Spirit Arena was met with great anticipation and, i hope, it delivered. The food was delicious, door
prizes given and more reminiscing occurred.

Awards were given and here are the winners: April Anders-Fortner: Longest Married, Most Kids: Kelly Crump-SoRelle, Most Expensive Car: David Murden ($300,000 subway), Lives Closet to LHS: Andrew & Wendi Coats, Biggest House: Alexis Bowlin, Most Changed in Appearance: Joel Mann, Looks like their Grad. Pic: Clay Ranck, Lives Furthest from LHS: Micheal Hicks, Most Degrees: James Iacuone, Most Majors: Justin Meeks, Most years in college w/o a degree: Jenny Bustillos

If I forgot any, sorry. Help me out.

After the dinner/dance, most went to Jake’s to see Icarus Fixed, Sgt. Steve Monday, and Jabarvy.

We’ll have pix available to post online soon from all the events. If you took any, please send them to pictures@lubbockhighclassof1997.com.

We discussed when to plan another reunion. A 15th party at a restuarant for dinner and just hanging out is planned. Another big to-do was thought on for our 20th. Where?? Who knows. But, Andy Seger or somebody else is doing that one. LOL.

As far as I know, we’ll keep the reunion site, http://www.lubbockhighclassof1997.com/ up and running. If that
changes, I’ll let everyone know.

PLEASE post compliments/complaints on the myspace or on the main site, so we can get a feel for anyway we can improve for future events.

Hope to see everyone around LBK more often.

Sincerely,
Wendi (Teel) Coats
